::)Hi All, I have read a number of articles on shifter karts where they talk of warming up the engine before an event with the kart on the stand. OK, I give up, how do you start it on the stand with no "run and bump"? The second question is...how do I get fuel into the pumps from the tank prior to my first runs of the day? Thanks for any advise. ;D

Hi John, To start the kart on the stand you will need a strap that is about 6 ft long or more. Take the strap and rap it around the the right rear tire once or twice so when you pull it, it will turn the rear axle in the forward direction. Put the kart in second gear and pull it. Its nice to have someone stand at the front of the kart to give it gas if necessary and to stabilize the kart on the stand when you pull it. If your kart will idle on its own you should be able to do it yourself. There are two ways to prime the fuel system. First pull the spark plug from the engine, place it back into the boot and ground it on the engine (you must ground it so you dont damage the electrical system). put the kart in gear and turn the engine over until you see fuel going into the carb. The eaiser way it to just blow into vent tube on your fuel tank. Tom
