;D Guess Who?
That's right! It's me again with my daily pesky question. I was talking to Mark the other day and it appears I will need to need to move the radiator out about 2" to accomodate my rather large posterior. Does anyone know what is entailed with this? I know I will need to notch the left side pod but what about hose length, the bracketing, etc? Also, does anyone know of someone using the plenum radiator that fits in the nassau panel? This would save on cutting everything and also improve aerodynamics. Thanks again for the help. ;D

John, I know Pat Harker has one on his dual engined Leopard. I'm not sure if they are legal as per WKA rules, I will try to remember to check when I get back from Kart Expo on Monday. Mark

8-)Hi Again,
I have checked out the plenum system from Epic and decided that I will go with the standard radiator and new bodywork. If anyone has had the experience of moving the radiator out to fit a larger seat in their kart, I would like to know what is involved in the process and any problems that you may have encountered along the way. I will be starting this project shortly and need any feedback you could give. Thanks for any help

Hi John, You will need to fabricate a bracket(s) that will allow the radiator to postitioned further away from the seat. It all depends on the mounting bracket for the radiator and the tabs on the kart. You might just need some longer bolts and some spacers. If your chassis tabs are making it difficult you can purchase tabs that clamp on to the chassis and can be positioned anywhere. Tom

Hi Everybody, Thanks Tom. I actually had thought about using the clamp-on brackets myself if I needed to raise the radiator to clear the sidepod. I will have the kart on the stand this coming weekend, weather permitting, and will remove the old seat and start preliminary measurements. Hopefully, I will find a way to move the radiator without having to cut into my (Really Cool) new Carbon Fiber sidepod. ;D
