Fellow racers, It is with regret that I will not be returning to be your paramedic at Stockholm Karting for 2007. My interest in promoting karting throught Minnesota has been perceived as a 'conflict of interest' and it has been decided I am not to return to Cokato for the upcoming season. After 18 years of being your 'on-site' medic, I am going to miss you all. I can assure you, this was not my decision and I wish everyone in the karting community nothing but the best. I hope our paths will cross again. Race safely. Jay

I am sorry to hear that promoting karting is a conflict of interest. I think most people have got to know you as a fellow enthusiast of the sport untill something goes awry. From cuts and burns in the pits to pulling the kart off of us on the track you have always been there to keep us safe. THANK YOU!! Lance Ekvall

Very sorry to hear that Jay. You will be missed. Seems a terrible waste to have Stockholm go to such extremes. I wish the "powers that be" at Stockholm could see that such reactions can, and often do, paint them in a bad light.
Best wishes Jay.

Jay, Westin and I always appreciated your help, whether its was lifting down a kart on the grid during a practice day, or being there when things went awry. As a parent with a child participating in a sport where the real risk of injury exists, it was always reassuring for me to know you were there as a first responder. How promoting karting can be a "conflict of interest" is beyond me.....more racers getting involved in the sport, whether at Stockholm or elsewhere is beneficial for everyone. Keep us informed as to what track is fortunate enough to grab you....we'll come race. Thanks again!
