Jeremy, Glad to see you are taking over the web site. I am sure it is quite a job but will be happy to see communications and points from the track in a timely manner. Mark

How does everyone else feel about the "spec" tire rule? Personally I don't like it.

You didn't give a reason why you don't like the tire rule. Spec tire rule puts all on the same tire. As long as they are affordable that's good. As long as you don't have to buy a set every day or weekend, that is good. But as soon as some nut case starts buying new tires every day or weekend, the fun stops. I see that SMP will be using MG yellows for most classes. I think they should use MG blue or red as they will last longer. They will get better the longer you run them to a point. We tested them in actual race conditions on Jr karts. Every one will have a different view depending on how it effects them. As SMP runs real short races most people will most likely not like a hard tire, as it will make them have to actually have to work at tuning there kart. When we ran at SMP we ran a blue tire, and didn't have a problem putting the smack down on the guys who run sticky tires. Keeping Kart racing affordable is good for all.
